Arthur Goldberg is co-drector of JIFGA (Jewish Insitute for Global Awareness), a not for profit organization, which seeks to globally provide humanity with greater awareness of the existence of 7 Noahide Laws, principles that are dependent upon Biblical teachings. These are root ethical values that Jews, Christians and Muslims, who represent more than 50% of the world’s population, can act upon within their own religious traditions. The great Eastern religions, Hinduism and Buddhism, also have, at their root, a primordial link to these core values. In fact, going back to Noah, these values are part of a legacy for all humanity to follow.
For fifteen years, Arthur served as co-director of another non-profit organization, JONAH (Jews Offering New Alternatives for Healing). JONAH served as a resource for individuals and families who sought psychological and spiritual counseling, peer support, and self-empowerment, by healing the wounds surrounding sexual confusion and providing hope. He also served on the boards of several other organizations that work within this specialized area.
Arthur Goldberg's widely acclaimed book, Light in the Closet: Torah, Homosexuality, and the Power to Change, Los Angeles: Red Heifer Press, 2nd printing, 2009 is the only one of its kind in that it uniquely and compassionately synthesizes Torah principles with transformational healing processes. The book has haskamos (approbations) from major gedolim (revered sages) such as Rabbis Shmuel Kamenetsky and Michel Twerski as well as innumerable endorsements from well known mental health professionals including the former president of the American Psychological Association, Dr. Nicholas Cummings.
He lectures widely and leads workshops and discussion groups on a wide range of subjects such as the Seven Noahide Laws provided by G-d to Noah after the flood and its applicability to all of humanity, the culture war, the importance of families, the role of education, media, and the legal system in enforcing today's "political correctness", sexuality issues, the importance of natural marriage as the foundation of family life, and the need to restore a political moral center.
